The UCH is a middleware hub between controllers and controlled devices and services, based upon the ISO/IEC 24752 standard on Universal Remote Console (URC). The goal of the URC technology is to allow any device or service to be accessed and controlled by any controller. A user can then select a user interface that fits their needs and preferences, using input and output modalities and interaction mechanisms that are familiar and work well with them. iUCH provides a console for the user to select a user interface that is compatible with the iPhone platform.
iUCH will display client user interfaces of all UCHs available in the network. Whenever iUCH detects any UCH instance, it will list all available user interfaces from that UCH and will display them in a user-friendly manner. On clicking any particular client user interface, iUCH will open it in the Safari browser. Currently iUCH supports only HTTP/HTML clients.
The iUCH app requires a Universal Control Hub (UCH) software running in your local network. See http://myurc.org/tools/UCH for free UCH software downloads
